The Addis Ababa Region Ex-Leprosy Patient Women Work Group aims to combat leprosy stigma and re-integrate persons affected by leprosy into society by providing training and jobs for cured patients who have permanent leprosy-related disabilities. Located in southwest Addis, the Work Group operates a weaving and embroidery business, producing beautiful woven cloth from 100% natural materials. A clearly defined social mission is integral to the Work Group’s business, and fair trade principles are the hallmark of the operation.
